John Peat Motors Ltd are a company based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, who specialise in good quality used cars and car servicing. Well worth a look, as stock in their large forecourt delearship changes continually.

I live nearly an hour away, but they had a car in stock that ticked all the boxes, so I made an appointment to go and view it. From the moment I arrived, I knew everything would be OK. The staff were really lovely, and there were no pushy salespeople anywhere. They were happy to leave me alone to spend as long as I wanted to examine the car but were on hand to answer any questions. They offered me the option of taking a test drive on my own and ensured there was plenty of fuel.

The car was excellent, and I agreed to buy it right away. This is when magic happens! As well as being a car dealer, they have their own workshop and MOT test centre. We arranged a collection date with enough time to allow them time to inspect, service and valet the car thoroughly. They called me the following day to let me know that they’d found some items that I would likely need to replace in the next year, and so, for peace of mind, they were sorting them now for free as part of the pre-sale service. No extra cost! This consisted of new shock absorbers, brake pads and discs, and an exhaust. The car was even given a fresh MOT despite at least six months remaining on the old one. To top it off, the car was valeted to a high standard and looked new when I picked it up.

I’ve been driving for almost 40 years and have never experienced a garage as honest and trustworthy as John Peat Motors. I am delighted with my car, it is perfect.

First time using John Peat Motors and what a pleasure it was! From the beginning of this year, I was looking to buy a new car and found local dealers and other places I visited I found were pushy and handed me a load of misleading information and they were making the whole experience of buying a new car confusing and somewhat daunting. I saw a car on the John Peat Website but it showed up as 105 miles away from where I live which initially seemed off putting but after phoning the dealership and speaking to Chris, who I must say was very helpful and polite and made the experience with John Peat Motors as a whole great,Chris went out of his way to find me a lower APR rate and a better car with my budget. What a Legend! He insisted I went to go and view the vehicle and not buy it blind and this is where I met Gary (who like Chris) was nothing but kind and gave me a great insight into the car I was buying and made the whole process of getting into a finance agreement easier than I thought. Graham has also been extremely helpful in helping me finalise everything with my car. Overall, I don’t think that I could have had a better car buying experience than I did with John Peat Motors. It’s been a week since I purchased my car with all looking well to date. I would highly recommend John Peat Motors, an independent car dealership.

I was in search of my dream car and happened to stumble across a car showcased on their website. Living in London I knew it would be 3-hour of travel to view the car and didn’t want a wasted journey in case the car wasn’t as shown and detailed. Graham and team worked over and beyond to facilitate all my requirements over the phone and on the same token, I gained a lot of confidence in that I was with the right dealership for my dream car purchase.

I drove up and viewed the car I liked and was given more than ample time to look over the car at my own time and space with no pressure at all from Graham & team. I placed my deposit and was given a potential date to collect the car, allowing them ample time to MOT and prepare the car for final collection a week later. I was kept informed throughout this time and always updated.

The purchase of my dream car couldn’t have been any easier, the trust gained through Graham was on point and couldn’t be faltered at all. At both times, viewing and collecting the car I had a different family member who came with me, they also felt I was in good hands and not a pushy sales garage.

John Peat Motors have a very professional approach, and one would automatically feel at home dealing with them. I was informed they have been trading for some 45 years or so now. I picked up my new car from John Peat Motors today. Chris, the salesman, was very friendly and made the process easy and painless. I had to transfer my personalised plate and he made sure all that was sorted, in addition to making sure all advisories on the last MOT was rectified, put a new MOT on the car, serviced it and two new tyres. I can’t rate them enough. It was a very different experience to going to main dealers where they are pushy and try to sell you loads of other products. I collected my new car today, we bought a Honda CRV and so far I love it. The service from Chris was fab from start to finish. Very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Would definitely use the garage again.

Contacted the garage via the internet chat and spoke to Graham. He was brilliant in that he gave all the details about the car that we were interested in for my stepson. He told us of some small issues with the vehicle ( stone chips) and said as a garage they like to be open and fully honest about a cars condition and the fact that we were travelling he didn’t want us to arrive and be disappointed. We put a deposit on the car and visited a few days later during which time the car had been fully prepared and MOT’d in the event we would buy and take it away. Graham was off this day ( sorry we didn’t get to meet you my friend) but we dealt with a great chap called Gary (?)
Anyway we were given the keys and sent on our test drive without any pressure selling – and the car drove beautifully and sold itself. Upon return we sorted the paperwork and drove the car away there and then. Tom is very happy indeed with his car which I may add was priced very well. We would of course consider another car from this garage as we were treated very well by the proprietor which made the experience a great one- can’t recommend this garage enough- worth travelling across country if you see the car you like!

My family and I always go to John Peat for our services/MOT’s and have been happy every time with the service, my speedometer in my car had broken last night – they fit me in today right away. They fixed the fault within half an hour, delivered my car back to my work and didn’t charge me anything for being a loyal customer to them. Brilliant customer service every time and lovely staff – highly recommend.

Very helpful. Went for a test drive and we were allowed to take the car off for a decent spin on our own. Even when we decided not to take the car, they were very helpful with suggestions about what we might take as an alternative and offered other test drives, which we declined as we were busy. Seems to be a small, independent company with good values.

I saw a 6 month old car on the website, called up to make enquiries as to finance deals etc and was greeted with a very friendly lady (Gilly) who helped me with all my questions. I wanted to make sure I could obtain finance for that amount before travelling 70 miles to go and view the car. I went up the next day to view the car after I was told that I had been approved for the finance and I was amazed at how friendly and efficient the staff were. I was handed the keys to the car and shown around it before being allowed a test drive (with my wife and 4 children). The car was absolutely fantastic and was £3k less than my local Renault dealer wanted for the same model. I bit the bullet there and then and signed my life away (well, the next 5 years anyway) and I collected my new car the next day. I was very happy with the service I received, there was never any pressure to buy the car and the staff were all very friendly. I would not hesitate to travel up there again, although it will have to wait until I’ve paid this car off before I get another.
